TALBAR 10 - Kenneth Watt
Updated: Dec 9, 2018
Today we are introducing Kenneth Watt who will be operating the SPACE Clinics Physio Station at our rider registration next summer. Ken will be available to all riders during this period for treatment, advice, taping and maybe a hug if you need one… you are about to cycle one thousand miles after all...
Let’s get to know Ken a little better…
TALBAR: What’s for breakfast?
KW: Porridge with honey, nuts and raisins. Not overly exciting but it does the job!
TALBAR: Who would you invite on a dream ride? (3 people max)
KW: My wife! She is my favourite bike companion and all our bike tours together are my most favourite bike based memories. So don't change a wining team!
TALBAR: Favourite race to watch?
KW: Hands down - Tour de France.
TALBAR: Essential piece of kit?
KW: Phone, both for the pictures but also to make sure we are not lost!
TALBAR: Most memorable ride?
KW: Tour of the outer Hebrides with a favourite being Harris
TALBAR: Life quote?
KW: Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.
TALBAR: What are you reading?
KW: Pretty much always something physio based… I’m a geek!
TALBAR: Which athlete do you most admire?
KW: Eilidh Doyle (nee Child)
TALBAR: Guilty pleasure?
KW: Boringly chocolate
TALBAR: What are you looking forward to about the Trans Alba Race?
KW: The buzz that people will get from taking part and seeing beautiful parts of this country.
Kenneth Watt works for SPACE Clinics who have kindly donated their services prior to the Trans Alba Race and will offer all racers a reduced rate once they have completed their ride too! If you’re Edinburgh based and are in need of a great physio please check these guys out, they are awesome!
